Real SHRM CP & SCP Exam Conditions
These are the actual instructions from Prometric, the official SHRM exam delivery partner. Familiarise yourself with these before your real exam day.
REMOTE PROCTORING REQUIREMENTS
Be alone in the room
No other people are permitted in your testing space during the exam. The proctor will verify this via webcam.
Webcam must be on
A live proctor monitors you via video throughout the entire exam. Your webcam cannot be covered or turned off.
Desktop or laptop only
No tablets, iPads, or phones. Single monitor only. Extra monitors must be disconnected before the exam starts.
No pens, paper, or notes
Your workspace must be completely clear. A digital scratchpad is provided within the exam platform if needed.
Silence all notifications
All phones and devices must be silenced and placed out of reach. Any interruption may result in exam termination.
Well lit, quiet room
Your room must be indoors, well lit, and free from background noise. Cover windows or glass doors if possible.
No VPN connections
Disconnect any VPN before starting. Use a stable wired or WiFi connection. Ask others in your household not to use the internet during your exam.
Stay at your workstation
Do not leave your seat without notifying the proctor first. Unscheduled breaks are allowed but the timer keeps running.
