These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of The Grey Gym website, the TGG SHRM Study App, Coach TGG, Studylitics, practice questions, flashcards, study guides, reports, and any related digital content, features, products, or services collectively referred to as the "Services."
The Services are operated by Angelo Gonsalves, an individual based in Qatar, trading as The Grey Gym. The Grey Gym is not a registered company. Angelo Gonsalves is referred to in these Terms and Conditions as "The Grey Gym," "we," "us," or "our."
These Terms and Conditions are referred to below as the "Terms."
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age required to enter into a binding agreement in your location, to create an account or purchase a subscription.
By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
2. Purpose of the Services
The TGG SHRM Study App is an independent educational resource designed to help candidates prepare for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP examinations.
The Services may include:
- SHRM-style practice questions
- Situational Judgment Item practice
- quiz modes and mock examinations
- detailed answer explanations and exam tips
- Coach TGG
- Studylitics and exam-readiness insights
- flashcards
- the TGG SHRM Study Guide
- quiz history and study reports
- study recommendations
- other related learning tools and resources
Features and availability may vary depending on your free-trial status, subscription plan, account status, location, device, or future product updates.
3. Independent SHRM Exam-Preparation Provider
The Grey Gym is an independent exam-preparation provider.
The Grey Gym is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Society for Human Resource Management, commonly known as SHRM.
SHRM, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, and other related names, trademarks, and marks belong to their respective owners.
The questions, explanations, flashcards, study guides, and learning materials provided through the Services are created for educational and practice purposes.
They are not official SHRM examination questions, and we do not claim or guarantee that any particular question, scenario, answer, or topic will appear on an actual examination.
4. No Guarantee of Examination Results
The Services are intended to support your knowledge, reasoning, preparation, and examination practice.
Purchasing a subscription, completing practice questions, using Coach TGG, reviewing flashcards, using Studylitics, or achieving a particular score within the app does not guarantee that you will pass the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP examination.
Your results may depend on factors including:
- your prior knowledge
- the amount and quality of your study
- your preparation strategy
- your understanding of the examination content
- examination conditions
- your performance on the day of the examination
You remain responsible for your own study decisions and examination preparation.
5. Account Registration and Security
You may be required to create an account and verify your email address before accessing certain features.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate registration information
- keeping your password and login credentials secure
- preventing unauthorized access to your account
- maintaining a current email address
- notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account use
Each account is intended for one individual user.
You may not:
- share your login credentials
- allow another person to use your account
- purchase one subscription for use by multiple people
- sell, rent, transfer, or sublicense your account
- create accounts using false or misleading information
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless you have notified us of unauthorized use.
6. Free Trial
Eligible users may receive a seven-day free trial without providing payment-card details.
During the free trial:
- access may be limited to a maximum of 10 questions per day
- certain features may be limited
- certain premium or plan-specific resources may not be included
- usage limits may apply
- no payment will automatically be collected when the trial ends
The trial ends automatically after seven days unless you purchase a paid subscription.
We may limit free trials to one per person, email address, account, device, household, or payment profile.
We may refuse, restrict, or withdraw a trial where we reasonably believe that the offer is being misused, duplicated, manipulated, or accessed fraudulently.
7. Subscription Plans
The Grey Gym may offer monthly, annual, or other subscription plans.
The features, content, usage limits, subscription period, and current price of each plan will be displayed before purchase.
You are responsible for reviewing the plan details before completing payment.
Depending on the plan selected, subscription features may include:
- access to the paid quiz experience
- Coach TGG
- Studylitics
- targeted practice
- full mock examinations
- detailed answer explanations and exam tips
- flashcards
- the TGG SHRM Study Guide
- study reports
- exam-readiness information
- other features displayed at the time of purchase
Some resources or features may be available only with selected plans.
The plan inclusions displayed on the pricing page, checkout page, or subscription screen at the time of purchase will form part of your subscription agreement.
We may add, remove, replace, update, or reorganize plan features.
We will not materially remove access already promised and paid for during your current billing period, except where a change is reasonably necessary for legal, security, technical, safety, or service-integrity reasons.
8. Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the next renewal date.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable subscription charge to be collected using your selected payment method at each renewal.
Before completing a purchase, you will be shown information including:
- the applicable price
- the billing frequency
- whether the subscription renews automatically
- the main plan inclusions
- how the subscription may be canceled
Prices may change for future billing periods.
Where appropriate or legally required, we will provide reasonable notice before a price change takes effect.
A price change will not normally affect a billing period that has already been paid for.
9. Payments
Payments may be processed by Stripe or another authorized third-party payment processor.
We do not directly store complete payment-card details. Payment information is handled by the applicable payment processor according to its terms and privacy practices.
By completing a purchase, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the amount displayed at checkout, together with any taxes, fees, or charges that must legally be collected.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information remains valid and current.
If a payment fails, we may:
- retry the payment
- notify you of the failed payment
- restrict or suspend paid access
- cancel the subscription if payment is not completed
Currency-conversion charges, foreign transaction fees, or other charges imposed by your bank or payment provider are your responsibility.
10. Canceling a Subscription
You may cancel your subscription through the subscription-management section of your account or through another cancellation method made available to you.
Cancellation prevents the next automatic renewal.
Unless otherwise required by law:
- cancellation does not immediately terminate an already-paid subscription period
- you may continue using the applicable paid features until the end of that billing period
- no further renewal payment will be collected after cancellation takes effect
- unused time in the current billing period is not converted into a refund or credit
Deleting the app from your device, closing a browser window, deleting a shortcut, or simply ceasing to use the Services does not by itself cancel a paid subscription.
You are responsible for completing the cancellation process before the next renewal date.
11. Refund Policy
Because eligible users receive an opportunity to evaluate the app through a seven-day free trial, subscription payments are generally nonrefundable once charged.
We do not normally provide full or partial refunds for:
- unused subscription time
- failure to use the Services
- changes in personal study plans
- examination postponement or cancellation
- dissatisfaction after the free trial
- failure to cancel before a renewal date
- accidental renewal where the subscription remained active
- failure to pass an examination
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded in your location.
We may provide a refund, credit, or other resolution at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.
Providing a refund or credit in one case does not create an obligation to provide the same resolution in another case.
12. Coach TGG
Coach TGG is an AI-assisted educational feature designed to help users reason through practice questions and compare possible responses.
Coach TGG may help users:
- identify important clues
- examine question wording
- challenge assumptions
- compare answer options
- consider sequence and stakeholder impact
- recognize reactive or incomplete responses
- develop stronger SHRM-style reasoning
Coach TGG is designed to guide the learner's thinking. It may not simply reveal the correct answer.
AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular situation.
You should review Coach TGG responses together with:
- the practice question
- the available answer options
- the official answer explanation within the app
- your own judgment and study materials
Coach TGG does not provide legal, professional, employment, medical, financial, or other regulated advice.
13. Coach TGG Usage Limits
Coach TGG is provided subject to reasonable and fair-use limits.
We may apply limits relating to:
- the number of conversations
- the number of messages per question
- response length
- frequency of use
- excessive or automated requests
- unusually high usage
- activity that creates unreasonable technical or operating costs
Limits may vary by plan and may be adjusted to maintain:
- service availability
- response quality
- security
- system performance
- reasonable operating costs
Attempts to bypass or manipulate usage limits may result in restricted, suspended, or terminated access.
14. Studylitics and Exam-Readiness Information
Studylitics analyzes activity within the app and may display information such as:
- quiz accuracy
- performance by topic
- SJI performance
- knowledge-question performance
- time spent on questions
- question-difficulty patterns
- weak areas
- study priorities
- performance trends
- exam-readiness indicators
These insights are estimates based on your activity within the app.
They are intended as study guidance and are not official predictions or guarantees of your examination result.
Readiness indicators may become more useful as you complete additional questions and quizzes.
A high readiness score does not guarantee examination success, and a low readiness score does not mean that examination success is impossible.
15. User Messages and Inputs
You may be able to enter messages, questions, or other text into Coach TGG or related features.
You must not submit content that:
- is unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or harmful
- infringes another person's rights
- contains malicious software, code, or links
- attempts to disrupt or manipulate the Services
- contains confidential workplace information
- contains personal information about employees, candidates, clients, patients, or other third parties without appropriate authority
- contains legally privileged information
- requests assistance with unlawful or harmful activity
- attempts to obtain protected system instructions or security information
You remain responsible for the information you submit.
Do not enter sensitive personal, confidential, proprietary, or legally privileged information into Coach TGG.
Examples include:
- employee medical information
- disciplinary records
- confidential investigation information
- identification numbers
- financial information
- passwords
- confidential business plans
- personal information belonging to third parties
16. Intellectual Property
The Services and their contents are owned by or licensed to The Grey Gym and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Protected content includes, without limitation:
- practice questions
- scenarios
- answer options
- explanations
- exam tips
- Coach TGG prompts and educational outputs
- flashcards
- Study Guide content
- reports
- graphics
- logos
- layouts
- text
- videos
- software
- databases
- product names
- branding
Your subscription gives you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and revocable right to use the Services for your own SHRM examination preparation.
Your subscription does not transfer ownership of any content, software, intellectual property, or proprietary rights to you.
17. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute the Services or their content
- download content except where a download option is expressly provided
- photograph, record, capture, or systematically reproduce substantial portions of the question bank, flashcards, or Study Guide
- share questions, flashcards, explanations, reports, or Study Guide materials publicly or privately
- sell, sublicense, license, or commercially exploit the content
- scrape, crawl, extract, harvest, or build a database from the Services
- use bots, scripts, automation, browser extensions, or artificial intelligence tools to extract content
- reverse engineer or attempt to discover source code
- test or bypass security measures without authorization
- interfere with the operation, performance, or security of the Services
- bypass account, access, subscription, payment, or usage restrictions
- use the content to create or improve a competing question bank, course, app, model, product, or service
- remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices
- present The Grey Gym content as your own
- use the Services for unlawful purposes
Limited quotations may be used only where permitted by applicable law and with appropriate attribution.
18. Account Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe that a user has:
- violated these Terms
- shared an account
- provided false account information
- attempted to copy or extract protected content
- engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity
- failed to make a required payment
- created a security or technical risk
- misused Coach TGG
- disrupted the Services
- attempted to bypass usage limits
- infringed intellectual-property rights
Where practical, we may provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect:
- users
- intellectual property
- payment systems
- security
- service availability
- legal compliance
Termination for a serious violation does not automatically create a right to a refund.
You may stop using the Services at any time. Canceling a paid subscription is governed by the cancellation provisions above.
19. Trial and Account Data Retention
When a free trial ends without an upgrade, quiz history and related study data may be retained for up to 30 days.
This allows a user who purchases access during that period to continue from their recent progress.
After the retention period, some or all trial history may be deleted and may not be recoverable.
Other account, payment, security, consent, transaction, support, and legal records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Further information about the handling of personal information will be provided in the Privacy Policy.
20. Service Changes
We may update, improve, replace, limit, reorganize, or discontinue parts of the Services.
This may include changes to:
- features
- practice modes
- question counts
- questions and explanations
- Coach TGG
- Studylitics
- flashcards
- Study Guide content
- reports
- usage limits
- plan structures
- pricing
- integrations
- technical requirements
- device compatibility
We will not materially reduce an already-paid subscription solely to avoid providing access purchased for the current billing period.
However, changes may be made where reasonably required for:
- legal compliance
- safety
- security
- technical reasons
- intellectual-property concerns
- service integrity
- protection against misuse
21. Availability and Technical Issues
We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available on every device, browser, network, or operating system.
Access may be affected by:
- planned maintenance
- updates
- internet failures
- hosting failures
- third-party service interruptions
- payment-processor issues
- security incidents
- device compatibility
- browser compatibility
- circumstances outside our reasonable control
We may temporarily suspend all or part of the Services to maintain, secure, repair, update, or improve them.
We are not responsible for problems caused by your device, browser, internet connection, email provider, payment provider, or other third-party technology.
22. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may depend on, integrate with, or link to third-party platforms, including:
- payment processors
- hosting providers

- analytics tools
- email providers
- artificial intelligence providers
- customer-support tools
- other technology services
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent content, availability, terms, security, or privacy practices.
Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's terms and policies.
A link to a third-party website or service does not mean that we endorse or accept responsibility for it.
23. Educational Disclaimer
All content is provided for educational and examination-preparation purposes.
While we aim to provide accurate and useful materials, HR practices, laws, regulations, examination frameworks, and professional standards may change.
The Services are not a substitute for:
- official SHRM materials
- current laws or regulations
- professional legal advice
- professional employment advice
- advice based on the specific facts of a workplace matter
- independent examination preparation and study
Users are responsible for verifying information before applying it to real-world employment, legal, financial, or business decisions.
24. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not warrant that:
- the Services will meet every user's requirements
- access will always be uninterrupted
- all content will be error-free
- every AI-generated response will be accurate
- using the Services will result in examination success
- every feature will remain available indefinitely
- the Services will be compatible with every device or browser
- all data will always be recoverable
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
25. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Grey Gym and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising from or related to the Services.
This includes losses relating to:
- examination failure or performance
- lost study time
- reliance on app content
- reliance on Coach TGG
- loss of data
- interrupted access
- third-party services
- unauthorized account access
- lost income
- lost opportunity
- lost business
- reputational loss
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability relating to the Services will be limited to the amount you paid to The Grey Gym during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
This section does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
26. Consumer Rights
These Terms do not remove or reduce any mandatory consumer rights available to you under the laws applicable where you live.
Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that mandatory right will apply to the extent of the conflict.
27. International Use
The Services are made available to users in multiple countries.
You are responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of the Services is lawful in your location.
We do not represent that every feature, payment method, plan, promotion, or item of content will be available in every country.
You are responsible for any taxes, duties, fees, or legal obligations that apply to you in connection with your use of the Services.
28. Resolving Concerns
Please contact us first if you have a concern regarding:
- your account
- subscription
- payment
- cancellation
- access
- app content
- use of the Services
We will attempt to resolve genuine concerns and disputes fairly and in good faith.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from using any right or remedy available under applicable law.
29. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- changes to the Services
- new features
- legal or regulatory requirements
- security needs
- operational needs
- changes to subscription practices
- changes to our business model
The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date.
Where a change materially affects an active paid subscription, we may provide additional notice through the app or by email where appropriate or legally required.
Continued use of the Services after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms, except where additional consent is required by law.
30. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted, modified, or limited to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
31. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive the right to enforce it later.
Any waiver must be expressly provided by us in writing.
32. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the courts of Qatar, unless a mandatory law applicable to you requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section removes or reduces any mandatory consumer protection or legal right available to you under the laws of the country where you live that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where such a right applies, it will apply to the extent of any conflict with this section.
33. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms displayed at purchase, form the agreement between you and The Grey Gym regarding the Services.
They replace any previous discussions, statements, or understandings relating to the same subject matter, except where expressly stated otherwise.
